The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Enugu West Senatorial District has resolved to live no stone unturned in the bid to continue its winning streak in the zone.
The Enugu State Secretary of the party, Hon. Cletus Akalusi, (Kwashy) told a crowd of PDP enthusiasts at Awgu that all hands must be on deck so as to deliver, without exception candidates of the party at the 2019 poll.
“You have done it before, and nothing says you cannot do it again,” he said.

“Politics is a question of number, thank God, we have the number in the five local government areas of the zone, and so what is expected of all of us is to go home, solidify and consolidate.
“We are on solid ground, all right, but we cannot afford to sleep or take things for granted, he charged members.
The PDP scribe referred his audience to a saying by the Jews: ” If you want your dream realized, don’t sleep.”

“We have to count ourselves lucky for the gift of a performing Governor, in the person of His Excellency, The Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, a man adopted and endorsed by virtually all associations, organizations, corporate bodies, community unions and even political parties for a second term as the Chief Executive of the state.
However, Hon. Akalusi implored them to procure and arm themselves with their Permanent Voters Cards, PVC.
Said the PDP scribe: “It is not enough to sit here and boast that Buhari will leave next year. You can only show Buhari the exit door with your Voters Card.
Cletus Akalusi enjoined the crowd, drawn from Oji-River, Awgu, Aninri, Udi and Ezeagu Local Government Areas that mobilisation efforts must be intensified for effect.
He commended leaders at all levels for the synergy, which has resulted in cohesion within the PDP family.
“What makes the PDP unique is that after the primaries, the party has remained intact.
“After the primaries, APC now has different factions, even at the Ward levels. Can you see the difference? Cletus Akalusi asked.
Hon. Okey Ozoani, Vice Chairman of the party in Enugu West in his speech, warned against laxity, especially among officers of the party. According to him, any official of the party found wanting may be replaced with more serious members, who, according to him are standing by.
He expressed the optimism that the PDP would coast home to victory, explaining that its major opponent, All Progressives Congress, APC has become jittery, what with the confusion and conflict of interest pervading the party.
The zonal leader noted with satisfaction that the PDP is facing the coming polls stronger than before, especially in the light of its mobilization strategies, bequeathed by the Hon. Augustine Nnamani leadership.
