Ahead of the governorship and House of Assembly polls this Saturday March 9, 2019, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP is set to continue its winning streak in Enugu State. Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Lawrence Ugwuanyi, is counting his blessings, having acquitted himself in the first term.
So also the 24 House of Assembly candidates contesting on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

If the result of the presidential/National Assembly elections is anything to go by, then the coast is clear enough for the party. Since 1999, PDP has been upbeat in the state, making mince meat of other political parties. Enugu State Chairman, Hon. Augustine Nnamani, (Ozoigbondu) had earlier¬† boasted that, “We have done it in the past, nothing suggests that we can not do it again.” Chief Nnamani is optimistic that the PDP and the electorate are on the same page, asserting that the winning streak will continue. Ozoigbondu assured party chieftains that their labour over the months shall not be in vain.

For the PDP Scribe, Hon. Cletus Akalusi, (Kwashy), the coming gubernatorial and Assembly ballot is a pay back time, referring to numerous infrastructural projects¬† undertaken by the Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi’s administration. “Every section of this state has two, three, four or more things to point at as Gburugburu legacy,” Cletus Akalusi said. “Of course, during the campaigns, the governor came face to face with prospective voters who assured him absolute victory at the poll,” stated Akalusi.

Hon. Innocent Emeoha is the Deputy Chairman of the party. Emeoha is no less optimistic about PDP’s victory in the 24 state constituencies of Enugu State. He called on the party agents and workers to remain steadfast on the election day and guard against rigging and other forms of malpractices.
